There are so many things in our lives to be grateful for that people take for granted. Clearly this is nothing new sentiment or action-wise but I am very aware these days of the beauty of the sunrise, and how the angle of the sun saturates the trees with colors.
There are so many people caught up in their daily lives who feel that they must take their lives to bring the harassment they suffer to an end. Some of these people are only school children who are made miserable by classmates whose actions cannot be explained away by that old saw "the cruelty of children". Some are inexplicable as the 24 year old who hanged himself online because people in the online community where he was chatting urged him to kill himself, and quickly.
Things do get better but mostly when that still small voice inside says "look beyond this circle of torment". People manage to be happy in this world, and if you can take a moment and enjoy the silence inside, things will get better.

Keeping Up Appearances
It's been more than a year since my last entry and my horoscope was right! I need to reach out and touch people every single day.
Let's see, I'm sick about Tyler Clementi and concerned about the backlash of those so-called Christians who are concerned that all of us getting along (which is what Jesus died for) amounts to condoning what they consider to be an evil or misguided lifestyle. Hmmmm....
Let's see, Jesus was New Testament, but they scripture that most of these folks quote is Old Testament. Jesus included everyone, and these folks include no one unless they are in lock-step belief with what they all believe.
Thought for the Day (and the past year, quite honestly): Let's look at the ways that world religions are the same - a flood myth, treating others as your family, being one with that Spirit that animates and permeates us all, rather than "My God can beat up your God".
All I am saying is give Pizza a Chance.
